hey AnonPig what do you think/know about the mechanics of ghost revival in both the crucible and PvE and the possibility of a type of afterlife in Destiny which might be something special for Guardians only.

  • No a guardian dies if it's ghost does or something so dark kills both you and your ghosts light. Some warlocks would kill themselves and wait till the last second to be revived by their ghost till they died (for real) to see a vision

So when a guardian dies, at least while their ghost is alive, they are conscious and even able to see visions depending on where they died/ killed themselves. This leads me to think that either Ghosts hold the guardians consciousness when they die, and this means that if a guardian can see things while within their ghost the ghost is hiding something perhaps unconsciously. Or when a guardian dies they are able to access another plane of reality/ dimension (perhaps the void) this could be similar to an afterlife. Also the mechanics of Fireborn comes into question because a guardian is able to revive itself and potentially their ghost after they've been killed and consumed by the darkness. Another thing is when a ghost revives a guardian they essentially remake them atom by atom and then pump them full of light. So if a guardian is wearing bones of an ahamkara and a ghost is able to revive them while the guardian can still hear the voice of it then that is very interesting. Sorry for rambling but I've put some thought into it and am intrigued by the subject.

  • Ok don't think so hard. When a guardian is "killed" let's say in crucible. They are technically still alive waiting to be revived. If they don't revive themselves in time they will die for good (if I'm correct). A guardian can be killed immediately if what's killing them is dark enough let's say crota or the darkness itself. Different Part: Thanonauts are warlocks that will purposely kill themselves and almost risk dying for good to see a vision of the darkness, the void (where the traveler and darkness come from) or something else.

Ok but when a guardian dies their ghost breaks down their body and things around them and then recreates the guardian exactly. So how can they still be alive unless their consciousness is brought somewhere else or downloaded into the ghost itself. Edit: Also when a guardian is killed they have to wait different amount of time to revive and can sometimes not even revive themselves. So is being revived a conscious act, brought on by ghosts who just so happen to know exactly when the guardian wants to be revived without prior knowledge, or perhaps brought on by external forces such as another guardian's light.

  • You're acting like we know this I doubt Bungie do either. I'm assuming since the ghost brought us back from a skeleton once he can do it again. There isn't a bible for this (as we know of. there is for halo) you're looking for answers that most likely don't exist. Trust me I've done that before it's just a waste of time.

  • ok m8. Sorry. I'm just trying to compile evidence through grimoire, the game, and common logic, and wanted an external opinion without having to wait for Bungie to outright tell me in bold what I want to know.
