Theistic evolution to me is the theory of evolution not the main fact. It is that we descended from the same ancestor as apes.

It is undeniably true that our DNA is very similar, but I don't believe that humans fully evolved from a prior form of ape. Similar species though, yes.

It doesn't though, it's very easy to believe in both. The science of evolution teaches the how, while theology teaches the why.
