No you do not not need constant internet ( the servers arnt even working properly so it's actually a good thing not to play on them especially when making a wish after summoning shenron) You only lose the ability of being about to interact and play with other people as far as I know. Development is pretty cool. They have a bunch of costumes that you can wear and a lot that are frustratingly hard to grind for which in the end are good for leveling up. Main thing is that you need to know exactly what type of fighter you are before you start randomly pointing your points into you persons traits. So Ya. That's all I have.
