To everyone at Bungie,
I don't usually write messages like this, but Destiny has been a part of my life for a very long time.
For years, I was mostly a solo player. I explored the universe you created on my own, completing missions, chasing loot, and experiencing stories that stayed with me long after I logged off. Then, when Destiny became more accessible, I convinced my friends to join me. Together we created our own clan, and suddenly this world that had been my personal adventure became something we shared.
One of the moments I will never forget was seeing my Guardian from Destiny 1 return. It may seem like a small thing, but to me it felt like meeting an old friend again. It reminded me of how much time, emotion, and memory I had invested in this universe.
So before anything else, thank you.
Thank you for the friendships, the adventures, the raids, the music, the worlds, and the memories. Destiny has been more than a game to me.
But I also want to be honest.
I find it difficult to accept that this story could end here. There are still mysteries, characters, and storylines that feel unresolved. The Destiny universe still feels alive, still full of possibilities, and still worthy of new adventures.
Maybe Destiny 3 is impossible right now. Maybe it is years away. But I hope with all my heart that this is not the end.
When I think about Destiny, I feel nostalgia. I remember where I was when I first entered the Cosmodrome. I remember the friends who joined me later. I remember the victories, the failures, and the countless hours spent looking up at the Traveler.
If this truly is the end of an era, thank you for giving us something unforgettable.
And if there is any chance at all for Destiny 3 one day, please know that there are still Guardians out here who would gladly answer the call.
Eyes up, Guardian.
