Trials / Comp should be completely about skill, not holding a zone.
Title, there is nothing skilful about controlling a zone and snowballing the enemy team, especially with Bubble/Well.
Get rid of the stupid zone in both game modes.

5 RepliesYes, it is skill. Coordinating with your team to first get to the zone, keep control of the zone, and cap it, is skill. You can’t just run in there blindly and expect to control a zone when the enemy team is there to clap cheeks

Titans are horrible for trials with dominion they have a shield that comes up so fast on cooldown and have a bubble for an instant win in any close games

Before the zone people would just camp and wait for the enemy team to do something (not saying bubble well and barricade are fair though)

They keep ffing trials and pvp up. The special ammo makes games so slow.

Destiny kids have gotten too used to not having to think about anything other than mindlessly killing, and it shows.

The issue is that Bungie said they would balance the Sandbox around it, and they haven't done a great job.

Checkout hardware mode next week > no supers or abilities (no special and heavy and then we are set).. its not the zone which can speed up the match.. its the PVE side of the game interfering with the PVP. You can have trials/comp of both imo (alternate) as I do like some of the space magic element.. but looking forward to pure gunplay and how it goes. (stop D2 classic whiners I said both are good)

Comp and Trials should be Elimination. Zone holding i agree has no skill. yes i bubbled zones, ill admit it, was it skillful? No. BTW, lets get rid of Countdown. Was hated in D2Y1, and still is hated.

They need to fix the MM, it is terrible. I have no issue with playing against people my skill level, I have an issue of the none stop bots that get on my team.

The winner in war should be whoever kills the most people, not who captures the others capital

It’s like competing in anything. Some you win some lose. If I can go flawless cool. If I can’t oh well. I was sweaty long ago. Only done it a few times since returning. Luckily I have been flawless all runs. One day I won’t. But guess what who cares. I use to care about KD as well. Don’t even check mine.

Trials has always had a zone, even when the game mode was first introduced. It wasn't as big of a priority back then as the zone didn't spawn as quickly as it does in the current model.

I think the problem is that your assuming destiny requires skill to play and isn’t just an ability Spam Simulator. I recommend playing some real competitive games like r6 csgo or valorant
