It’s defining a bit much. For everyone here saying it’s not a big deal, let’s assume you’re a basic player grinding normal mode. You get 3 tokens for every 10 waves (2 from chest + 1 from the objective). I’ll also include 5 (1 from each daily bounty + the weekly Onslaught bounty). It’s 150 tokens to buy an armor set. That means 50 sets of 10 waves. Each wave is about a minute long. (It’s usually a little longer, but this makes math simple). That means you’re looking at 500 minutes of playtime for 1 armor set - or about 8 hours and 20 minutes of continuous grinding. You get 1 set for basically free if you include the tokens from Shax rankup. So you’re looking at 16 hours and 40 minutes of continuous grinding. I think I’m willing to say that’s a bit much for an armor set that’s just cosmetic.

  • You also get one from each bonus objective(I think 3 per 10 waves?), and the 'Heatwave' after a boss is killed drops 1 per Tormentor killed, also pretty sure they increased the drops from the final chest(like 5 maybe) So it's approximately 6 per 10-waves + 5 from Final Chest = 35 per 50-waves = 9 runs for armor + extra (7-8 depending on 'Heatwave' luck/skill) Also pretty sure the bonus objectives have a chance to give a weapon instead of 1 token, so that could cause more attempts.

    Yeah, just no. On a normal playlist run or an unsuccessful (average) normal 50 wave run: - 2 from each chest every 10 waves. This increases to 3 once you reach 40 on normal or 30 on legend. - 1 from the objective round. There is only 1 every 10 waves and will be either: shoot 3 nodes, stand in zone, 20 motes, or super fast wave. This is denoted by heavy spawning too. - Tormentor drops one as well, but this is not nearly as common. On average it seems to be once every 50 waves. So while you can include it, it’s not every 10. - To get drops from heatwave, you need to kill at least 10. I’ve yet to see that happen in a random team. People don’t swap subclasses or to precision weapons. Most randoms use swords or rockets. If bonus objectives have that chance, I have yet to see it. I’m willing to bet what you are experiencing if just the wave completion weekly challenges visible when you select the activity. These reward a weapon out of nowhere with no other indicators. TLDR: Final chest drops have not been increased until later rounds. I’m assuming average player, so I can’t justify past wave 30 on normal. Heatwave is also definitely not once per run. In my experience it’s around a 1 in 10 chance.

  • I was going to bed soon after my last comment so I just mentioned what I've noticed, thought it was more consistent but now I've done a couple while paying attention(as much as my ADHD will allow) to how things work and this is what I've noticed in 3 runs. Bonus Objective: Seem to appear randomly on waves ending in 2, 5, & 8, a high chance but not guaranteed to drop Tokens. (Did get a total of 3 within 10 waves several times) Mini-boss Waves(Demos, Skybombs, Tormentor): Seem to appear on waves ending in 3 & 9, they're either random or happen if waves 2 & 8 don't have bonus objectives, not sure, but most likely have no relation to bonus objectives and probably coincidence, didn't notice Tokens but I think ADHD was kicking in on those waves since a lot was going on so I might have just missed them. Heatwave Tormentors drop a token for each one killed, either that, or I've gotten stupid lucky every time I've been in one, average team should be able to kill 3 - 5 IF they notice the faster super regen. Chest Token drops- #1: 2 #2: 2 #3: 3 #4: 3 #5: 4 (+ 3 from completion chest) Total = 17 (+ 5 to 15 from bonus objectives depending on luck) Likely average = 25 (+ 3 to 5 if heatwave spawns) Honestly didn't even notice there were weekly objectives, that's probably where I'm getting the weapons then, although that would be a nice change, a chance to get a weapon instead of a token.

  • That about lines up with what I’ve been seeing. My issue is more that rewards are really back weighted now. And unlike Coil, it’s really hard to carry a full team solo. That’s why most of my assumptions are based on either the 10 wave playlist or just making it through 20-30 waves. I’ll need to check Heatwave next time it comes for me tho. :)

  • So I got 2 weapon drops, wave 6 & 48, had 1 weekly challenge that required me to complete 100 waves, already had 50 done at the start, so I guess there is a random chance for weapons to drop, or it WAS a coincidence and the update today made that change lol Also while I'm here, I noticed waves 40 & 50 give 5 & 11 Tokens each now. Also feels like normal is easier, might be crazy.
