What is the point of Adepts now in PvE?

Big ones spec was the one PVE adept mod that made getting an Adept NF weapon something to work for. Now that the mod will be removed, what is truly the point of doing a GM other than the title? Adept range? Many other Adept mod hurt your other stats so what is actually beneficial about having an Adept weapon? Raid adept weapons perks can be enhancable so that's something to grind for. Now are we going to be able to retroactively enhance the perks on NF adepts we acquired through all years of the GM sweating? It seems like all that time investment was wasted when now the adept versions will have the same damage output as the normal versions. So again I ask what is the point of GMNF adepts? Why did we waste all that time getting them? How do I walk away from this change without feeling like I wasted so much time and effort?

  • IMO - Enhanced perks should have been exclusive to adept weapons. Adepts should have a minor advantage over the non-adepts, seasonal and world drops and allow it to excel (when compared to its non-adept) in end game content especially because of the difficulty behind obtaining such weapons (of course the difficulty depends on how good the individual is too). Non-adepts will gain the advantage in having access to what i would call as the better perks such as reconstruction and bait and switch. The difference between a non adept and adept raid weapon should be the ability for adepts to be enhanced, and to provide player to change their weapon barrel, mag and masterwork to reduce the RNG needed to grind for said weapons enhancing should provide minor bonuses to perks like we sort of have now (+1 second to things like rampage, kc, bns etc etc). The +3 to other stats doesn't help with pve i reckon. Ig that's more of a pvp thing. The aim of world drops and in particular weapon crafting should be to give players access to weapons which will assist in preparing players for things like raids, legend/master nightfalls etc. I feel like this should provide incentives for everyone to try end game content and give that want of obtaining the best weapons in the game. A similar system could be applied for the pvp side too. Kinda like how they introduced artifice for comp (albeit the stat rolls aren't amazing lmao).
