No one will win in TFS

For the story to move “beyond” the light and dark saga and as a nice tie in to the prismatic class lore the Witness’ Final Shape will merge with the heart of the Traveler and they’ll become some singular entity (like how the Veil and Traveler as thought by Osiris to have once been a whole that split in two). It’ll be a similar theme to the OG campaign ending where Ghaul gets what he wants (the light) but then is overwhelmed. Same thing will happen and the Witness will either be assimilated into the Traveler and literally be the “final shape” the Traveler assumes, or the veil and traveler will reunite to destroy the witness, which will also technically be the “final shape” the Witness had originally attempted when it first brought the veil and traveler together.

  • Why does the witness need to merge or be taken over to tie in prismatic? The Witness barely know Darkenss power, he’s a Marty Stu. Dude doesn’t even know about Strand. Pristmatic stems from the nature and origin of Dark and Light. They come from the same source. And we gain Pristmatic in the Pale Heart. So that points to the Pale Heart being related to the source, so Dark and Light have more to do with that than the Witness. And given how the Gardener is its own entity, I don’t see how they can merge. The Traveler is just a vessel.
