Update 7.3.6.3 =Iron Banner Teleporting,Lagging, Lobby Imbalance

Hi Bungie What happened to the relative level of stability since the update? It wasn't perfect last week (or since inception) however the cross-console lag has increased sharply over the last 24 hrs. It's at the point I'm being rushed at from Cross Map and shooting through players. I haven't seen the teleporting and rubber banding as bad as this in years (since FORSAKEN). Nothing has been downgraded on my end regarding internet and hardware.I recently upgraded my ISP connection for a day to see how D2 played and it was the same. Weasel, Centipede etc when hardwired at 250 MBPS on Fibre, and rubber banding even when doing mundane patrols on Europa, Nessus etc. Perhaps the increased player count in the last month has a part t play? If this is the case, then how can I justify pre-ordering the Final Shape? Is there a fix to this unplayable level of instability? EDIT: Forgot to add that the games lobbies are skewed dramatically to 6 solos vs two or three pairs. Shouldn't two pairs be evenly divided between the teams? Or 3.00+ KDAs as a whole Vs1.25 or less, and full stacks of 5-6 vs 6 solos. General scoring has been been in my experience a complete stomp 50% of matches, 10 % evenly fought, and 40% at 50+ points difference.

  • 1) it is impossible to balance a lobby - if it was, the gaming studio that comes out with it will make a fortune selling the lines of code to achieve it 2) Unless something has changed recently, due to all the crying, IB is not SBMM, it's CBMM, so you'll find a lot of 2.00 k/d going against .1 k/d - that's just how it is. Insert name of any PvP game, and you'll come across the same issue. 3) Contrary to belief by people who know nothing about how networks work, error codes don't have much to do with your ISP, or Bungie's static servers. It's the connection between the two. You have millions of lines in the network, and you're bound to run into a traffic jam...that traffic jam can cause timeout errors, i.e. Weasel, Donkey, Crouching Tiger, Dragon Ball, or whatever other errors are out there, so blaming Bungie for this issue is like blaming you work because you're late due to traffic
