Chat doesn't work
I called Microsoft/Xbox customer service and was told this is a Bungie issue.
When I use Bungie Game Chat I can be heard by everyone else however, I can't hear any of them. Whether they are friends or Randos from the Xbox LFG, Game Chat isn't working as it should.
With the new, in game, LFG system allowing us to play with guardians playing on other platforms, Game Chat is now necessary. Party Chat continues to function but many Destiny games are now being played cross platform.
How do I solve this problem? I've read the help pages but haven't found a solution. Is it something simple I'm overlooking?

1 ReplyThere is something definitely happening on bungie's end. Two of the people I raid with they can hear everyone but their mic wasn't working in game. some random who joined us had the opposite effect. He said people could hear him, but he couldn't hear them. I had one of them reboot, check windows 11 settings, made sure game was permitted in Mic Privacy settings, had them close discord to make sure it was not preventing destiny from using the mic. They also made sure their headset was default and comm defaulted. Their headset and mics worked fine on discord and other games with in game chat. Just not in destiny. Their mics were also working last night when they were playing.
