The Crow (1994)

-One of my top 3 movies. The soundtrack is incredible. The atmosphere? Freaking sick. Something about The Crow reminds me of the first Spider-Man (2002) from Raimi, idk what it is and I'm fine not analyzing it. Somebody maybe: "Uh DUH, they're both comic book adaptations har har!" So, nobody do that... I made a portfolio of my graphic design work so far, the cover page is modeled off one of the posters for The Crow. It has my name on it, so no screenshot for you. >_>
Heres my top 3 quotes:
-Eric Draven: Can't rain all the time... -Eric Draven: Suddenly I heard a tapping, as of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door. Gideon: What are you talking about? Eric Draven: You heard me rapping, right? -Sarah: What are you supposed to be, a clown or something? Eric Draven: Sometimes.
Anyone else like The Crow/have a quote to share...?

I really love the Raimi Spider-Man's because they have some really fun writing, and they are funny so you can laugh at them, whereas The Crow has cool + dark + kinda funny lines. K bye.
Wonder who quickly disliked my post… very silly.

  • Apparently they're remaking it with Bill Skarsgard. Anyway, the raven thing is Edgar Allen Poe, which you probably know, but just in case.

  • Haven’t seen it, but I always meant to. My parents had the VHS and it was my mum's favourite film for a while, but then I got older and people stopped talking about it. Raimi's Spider-Man 2 is the best superhero film ever and nobody will change my mind.

I don't remember the quote verbatim but one of my favorites is when Ernie Hudson first meets Eric as The Crow and comments about him "looking like a mime from hell" and how he was glad he didn't "do that 'walking against the wind' sh*t; I really hate that sh*t." Edit: That and the part where T-Birds lackey (the name got -blammed- out) said he feels like a tiny fish in a really big pond and Michael Wincott says something about how his momma must be proud. Also, not to sound condescending but the line about the tapping is meant as a take on Poe's 'The Raven,' if I'm not mistaken.

      • I saw it when it came out, but remember just remedial basics about it. I remember more about what happened to Brandon Lee, which is minimal, than I do the movie.
